Connecting Delaware County Students to America's 250th Anniversary

The K-12 Educators Semiquin Toolkit is an exciting initiative designed to create once-in-a-lifetime memories of America's 250th birthday celebration for every student in Delaware County. Currently under development by America250PADelco with dedicated volunteers and interns, this comprehensive resource will help educators easily connect their classrooms to this historic national milestone.

What Is the Toolkit?

The K-12 Educators Semiquin Toolkit will be a regularly updated digital resource hub and monthly flyer series distributed to every school in Delaware County through the Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU). The toolkit will provide:

• Curated Educational Resources: Age-appropriate materials connecting curriculum to America's founding principles and history
• Local Connection Opportunities: Information about historical sites, museums, and cultural institutions offering special Semiquincentennial programming
• Volunteer Opportunities: Ways students can participate in and contribute to America250 events
• Classroom Activities: Ready-to-use lesson plans and activities that bring American history to life
• Event Calendar: Up-to-date listings of local, regional, and national America250 events suitable for student participation or field trips

Development Timeline

The K-12 Educators Semiquin Toolkit is currently in development, with plans to launch in January 2026. Our team is working closely with education professionals to ensure the toolkit meets real classroom needs and aligns with curriculum standards.
