Celebrate - Week of Fourth of July Events

From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence, with festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues. The Fourth of July is Delaware County’s time to celebrate our freedom the best way - with family, friends and neighbors!

History Is Coming to Your Neighborhood. The Delco Time-Traveler's Outpost is a free, traveling pop-up experience hitting 20+ festivals across Delaware County from May through October 2026. Drop in, pick up a quill, and sign your own Declaration of Independence. Meet a professional historical presenter bringing 1776 to life. Grab your guide to everything worth seeing in Delco this year.

The America250PADelco toolkit offers educators robust professional development and research resources. Teachers can see conferences like the PCSS annual forum, and utilize curated primary source collections and History curricula. Furthermore, the toolkit facilitates deep dives into local history through lectures, museum tours, and immersive reenactments. These offerings empower educators to deepen their historical content knowledge and develop impactful, evidence-based lessons for the upcoming school year.
