Description

The Delaware County Court and Bar Association annually celebrates Law Day on the first Friday in May. On this day, our Court emphasizes the precious heritage we have in our free society, where rule of law serves and governs the citizens, making possible such a free society. The Bar Association and the Court of Common Pleas recognized the achievements of lawyers and non-lawyers at the Law Day Ceremonies at the Delaware County Courthouse.

“If cavillation is to survive, it must choose the rule of law. On this Law Day, then, we honor not only the principle of the rule of law, but also the judges, legislators, lawyers, and law-abiding citizens who actively work to preserve our liberties under the law.”

2024 Law Day Theme - “Voices of Democracy” recognizes that in democracies, the people rule. For nearly 250 years, Americans have expressed their political views and wishes by speaking their minds and voting in elections.
