Jeffrey Denman, author of Philadelphia Quakers and the American Revolution Wednesday, 4/22 7pm Winsor Room at Radnor Memorial Library In Partnership with Radnor Historical Society and Main Point Books Join us for an evening of Philadelphia history with Jeffrey A. Denman, author of the new book, Philadelphia Quakers and the American Revolution, just in time for the 250th anniversary of America. The author vividly describes the precipitous rise to power and prosperity of the Philadelphia Quakers and their fall during the American Revolution. Historian Jeffrey A. Denman is co-author of Greene and Cornwallis: The Pivotal Struggle of the American Revolution, 1780-1781, and is the author of John Quincy Adams, Reluctant Abolitionist. His research focuses primarily on the late eighteenth century and early nineteenth centuries in American history. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Maine and the University of Connecticut and is a retired teacher of American History and World Geography in the Brookline Public Schools, Brookline, Massachusetts. He has also written several articles dealing with various aspects of the American Revolution, the Civil War, and World War II in various historical publications. Books will be available for purchase.
