In 1728, a young Benjamin Franklin printed the first book on his new Philadelphia press — a history of the Quakers who had settled Pennsylvania. Two years after the Darby Library was founded, that first edition was given to the collection. Join us for a reception and a look at this remarkable volume – one day only! This piece of our history has been newly restored courtesy of the National Society of Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America in honor of Delaware County marking its 250th anniversary.
