Clarissa F. Dillon, PhD, is one of the foremost authorities of 18th century American Colonial cooking, farming, and gardening. A longtime-teacher with a PhD in History from Bryn Mawr College, Dr. Dillon has authored and co-authored several books, won awards for her scholarly works, and is still active in the Philadelphia area giving cooking lessons and presentations at the many historic sites in our area. For over two decades, Clarissa has used the historic and beautifully-restored Thomas Massey House in Broomall as a base for her many activities and still tends the kitchen garden on the property. During the Pandemic, Clarissa was involved in the making of a 28-episode short web series called “One Cool Colonial” and the series can still be watched online.
