Delco Historical Society turns 131 years old, come celebrate with a display of the 1860 Lincoln Banner and more! Delaware County Historical Society was established on September 26, 1895, with the mission to protect and promote the history of Delaware County, and to make it accessible to the community. For our 131st birthday, Delco Historical Society is presenting a full day of Delco history, featuring on display for the first time in five years, the Lincoln Banner of 1860. Also on display will be the Washington Tavern Sign of 1849, hand painted by John Archibald Woodside Sr. Here are the deatils for the day: Noon to 5 pm: Open House at Delco Historical Society, free and open to the public. On display will feature unique items of Delco history, including pieces from William Penn and other prominent folks of Delco history. (9 W. Front Street, Media PA. Parking is availabale on Front or Jackson Streets) 6 pm to 8 pm: Join Delco Historical society at the Delaware County Institute of Science for an opportunity to see the 1860 Lincoln Banner up close in person. Folks will have an opportunity to see the other incredible exhibits and treat themselves to drinks prepared by Tony Shahan. DCHS Members: Free Admission! (Must be a due paid member by 9.25.26) General Admisson: $20.00 (w/ light fare and drinks) Membership Admission: $30.00 (w/ membership and a poster!)
