On Saturday, March 14 at 3:00 PM, Villanova University will host Ireland’s Prime Minister, the Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, for a special address marking 250 years since the American Revolution. Held in the Topper Theater at the John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, the event will reflect on the enduring ties between Ireland and the United States. Closing remarks will be given by U.S. Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon.
On Saturday, March 14 at 3:00 PM, Villanova University will welcome Ireland’s Prime Minister, the Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, to campus for a special address marking 250 years since the American Revolution.
Speaking in the Topper Theater at the John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts, Taoiseach Martin will reflect on the historic and enduring relationship between Ireland and the United States — a connection deeply intertwined with the story of America’s founding.
The program will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Irish Studies faculty and closing remarks from U.S. Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon.
